One of the most controversial subjects in hitting instruction, or baseball in general is the teaching of "squash the bug."

Squashing the bug is simply a nickname instructors and coaches use to teach players how to rotate their back foot.

The nickname comes from the resemblance of squashing a bug with your toes in a rotating fashion.

Should we squash the bug? Well we answer those questions in this video by explain first, what the ideal back foot movement is, and second, how we can use the "Squash the Bug" method as a stepping stone to get to that ideal position.

I hope you all enjoy this video and it helps you with your game!

Keep working hard!!

I look forward to helping you improve your baseball in the future!
