Second Lieutenant Ryan Novack was commissioned in the Air Force in 2015 as a materiel officer. He was a victim of a serious spinal injury from dirt bike racing, resulting in his being paralyzed below the knees. After months of therapy, Novack has returned to work and is currently preparing to compete in the Department of Defense Warrior Games June 30 thru July 8, 2017 in Chicago, Illinois.
