Clemson vs. Florida State: The No. 2 Tigers made an emphatic statement Saturday afternoon against the Seminoles, beating FSU 59-10. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence threw 4 touchdown passes, breaking the Clemson school single-season record for TD by a true freshman in the process. The Tigers defense held Florida State to 10 points and racked up 5 sacks and 14 tackles-for-loss on the afternoon.
UTEP played Georgetown in El Paso on December 27, 1985. Georgetown was ranked #5 in the AP and UTEP wound up being ranked #19 after the win. John Thompson was very respectful towards Don Haskins and agreed to play in El Paso with Big East officials.
