How track and field talent predicts elite college football athleticism | Tracking Football

A scouting service called Tracking Football has categorized high school track and field event data and put those numbers and measurables through a proprietary algorithm called the Player Index Score to help elite college football programs like Texas, Michigan and Oregon recruit college football athletes.

I spoke with founders Mark Branstad, Aaron Hunter and Brian Spilbeler about how the company works and what value it gives to fans and college football recruiters. Running track and throwing shot put can change a life.
