Nothing is worse than an unexpected Haboob...well maybe a Funny Haboob! Glad the media are good sports!
On August 20th, the day before the Total Eclipse, the media tents were setting up with their equipment on the ridge line of the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center in Casper, WY. From our vantage point also on that ridge Jeff was watching the weather (naturally) and noticed a strong downburst miles away. He knew those winds would eventually make it to those media tents. Jeff and I ran about 1/2 mile trying to beat the winds and warn the people setting up the tents that it was getting ready to get crazy! This clip is the second downburst that hit in less than 30 minutes.
