The Florida Gators captured their second National Championship in a row by beating Ohio State 84-75. This was the first time a college had won back-to-back since 1992. Despite a great performance from Ohio State's Greg Oden, who had 25 points and 12 rebounds, Florida took control early in the first half and never looked back. The win also vindicated several players' decision to delay their plans for the NBA to have a shot at winning two in a row.
