Basketball Basics for Beginners

Hi there,

So you are a beginner and you want to learn how to play basketball, isn’t it? In this video series, I will do my best to help you learn to play basketball and be better at basketball.

This is the first video of "How to play basketball" series. And in this video, I describe fundamental of the basketball game including fouls and violations.

In the first part of this video, I talk about the objective of a basketball game, basketball courts and lines, number of players in basketball, duration of basketball game and how basketball game is usually started.

In the second part of this video, I describe fundamental rules of basketball. I talk about different kinds of violations such as double dribble violation, walking or travelling violation, carrying violation and half court violation. And then I talk about fouls such as shooting fouls, charging or blocking fouls, flagrant fouls, and technical fouls.
